Mitsui Martial arts

Martial Arts practice cultivates the embodiment of power, flow, strength, and rootedness. We take a hybrid approach blending traditional styles and learning methods with modern human movement science to create deep and lasting learning across a range of martial arts disciplines:

Lotus Kajukenbo

Lotus Kajukenbo is a highly versatile martial arts system with roots across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Lotus Kajukenbo includes stancework, defense, striking and kicking, joint locks, and throws, plus rolls and breakfalls for safe landings.

Classes include a balance of technical drills, individual forms (kata), partner techniques, body awareness practices, conditioning, and active controlled sparring.

Offered in-person at our Cleveland location. Taught in affiliation with Lotus Martial Arts Academy — Spokane, WA

Martial arts class where an instructor demonstrates a throw on a student holding a pad, with four individuals observing in a martial arts studio, decorated with martial arts banners and flags.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice combining slow, flowing movements, in alignment with breath and energy flow (qi) to foster harmony between mind, body, and spirit. Originating as a martial art but now widely practiced for health, balance, strength, flexibility, and stress reduction, Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Classes focus on 24-Form Yang style Tai Chi and also include a range of partner practices and Qi Gong techniques for energy cultivation and flow, breathwork, and stillness practice.

Offered in-person at our Cleveland location. Taught in affiliation with Two Tigers Kung Fu Academy — Bedford, OH

Mitsui movement

Mitsui Movement is a holistic wellness practice integrating Jewish wisdom, spirituality, and human movement science; inspired by diverse practices including dance, martial arts, strength training, athletics, and acrobatics. Suitable for all levels of experience and skill.

Nashuv

Gentle, meditative movement focusing on flow, balance, integration, and renewal. Includes accessible movement and breathwork practices rooted in Jewish wisdom to deepen our spiritual connection, physical wellness, and sense of belonging. Nashuv aligns with the exhale — the quieter, restful phases of the embodiment cycle.

Offered online and in-person at our Cleveland location.

Nimratz

Active movement work, including organic strength work, locomotion, coordination, speed, and power. Nimratz aligns with the inhale — the more active, high-energy and higher-intensity phases of the embodiment cycle.

Offered online.
